My Landscapes
I shoot most of my landscapes using the following equipment:
Canon 5D Mark II.
Canon 50D.
Canon 17-40 f/4 L Lens.
Canon 24-70 f2.8 L lens.
Canon 70-200 f4 L lens.
I find this combination to work well; it's lightweight and practical. I also carry my Vivitar v200 with a 28mm f/2.8 prime lens, loaded with ASA400 Kodak film.
Tip's
Check your gear before leaving, check batteries, check camera settings, clean your lenes, make sure you are on the correct ISO etc.
Arrive at your chosen location early, with plenty of time to scout, observe conditions and make last minute adjustments.
Shoot with friends, it's safer and more fun, you'll find having friends around improves your photography skills.
Visit a location many times, during different times of the day and under different conditions.
Study the weather.
Study the tides.
Enjoy your hobby.
Photography Workshops
I've teamed up with fellow Brisbane photographer David de Groot and formed a photography workshop business. We conduct hands on photography workshops tailored for beginners, and advanced workshops aimed at those photographers looking to improve their skills. This business is called Grasstree Photography.
