PRINT INFORMATION

I don't remember how old I was when I first picked up a camera, but I must have been young. My grandfather was a successful painter so I think my creative side must have come from him. In my teens I saved my money and bought myself my first SLR. Film was expensive and wasteful by today's digital standard, but I pressed on and shot roll after roll. Later on I purchased my first digital SLR and I never looked back. I'm proud to have photographed during years before digital was main-stream, and I have a huge respect for the photographers who continue to use this medium.

"Neigbours "

About "NEIGHBOURS"

This tall and proud mangrove sits isolated in the middle of Moreton Bay, the only neighbours nearby are located to the right. Such a huge tree, I'm a good 20 metres back and I still struggled to get the shot composed. I loved the way the trees swayed as the wind increased yet they seem to point in different directions.

I didn't have long to frame this shot, as the conditions were worsening and I needed to get back to the boat!

Photographed on the same morning as 'The Lone Agent, neighbours represents the closeness and the isolation of the Moreton Bay region.
